70 Swinger Trunk/Quarter Stripe Question

So the stripe on the back of my 70 Swinger is gloss black, but I was told that to be correct it should be flat black. Is this true? What was factory gloss level on those stripes, or was there a choice? Anyone know?
Seems to me that with a flat black wing, flat black hood option, that a flat stripe would be the way to go to match.

not super glossy, but nowhere near flat - there's a whole spectrum of finishes between gloss and flat...

I guess when Im saying "flat" black, I dont mean absolutely flat, more like a satin or semi, but definitely not full gloss. And the stripe on my car is pretty glossy

I bought this car in 1972. 70 340 Hemi orange car the stripe was gloss. Here are pics of when I got it back after stolen and then pics of when it was resold. The stripe was gloss.

Also a Vitamin C car gloss black. and another green with gloss white,
