Hi
I have a 71 Dart Gt and installing a new 8 3/4 rear end with 373 gears, auburn sure grip, new wilwood disk brakes.
I plan to add 17 x 9 Magnum rims with 5.125" back spacing.
Will they fit on my 71 Dodge Dart

Welcome!

The '71 GT's are pretty rare, not something you see very often since they only made a little over 1,200.

As far as the rims, no, they will not fit in the front. Not enough backspace. 17x9's aren't a very good choice in the front on an A-body, because they need about 6" of backspace to clear the fenders. But most 17" rims hit the outer tie rod at about 5.6" of backspace.

A 17x8 would work, but at about 5.3 to 5.6" of backspace. If you want to go with a 9" wide rim in the front, you should look at 18" rims so you can run 6" to 6.5" of backspace.

Got any pictures of your GT? Always cool to see another GT.
