I am very new to this site and restorations.

I acquired a decent 71 Dart with a dead 318 in it. This engine hadn't been run in ten years. After changing to electronic ignition and squirting a bunch of ether down its throat, it fired right up.

I am building a strong 360 to go back into the car, but I couldn't resist trying to make the old 318 that was in the car run and also use it to finish wiring my engine test stand built for this project.

The stand is for my new motor break in and tune up before I put it in the car.

The wiring is still roughed in but I couldn't wait to try it out so here is the old engine on the stand bringing it up to temperature for the first time since pulling it out of the Dart.

Here is today's video with the wiring cleaned up and the tachometer calibrated. My temperature gauge probe is too large for the 318 intake manifold. It will fit my Edelbrock manifold on the new engine but not this one. Might have to swap manifolds just for fun.
