72 Demon mystery clips

Circled in white is the interior trim piece above the door between the plastic a-piller trim and the sail panel.. I pulled it down to paint it and these two small retainer clips(circled in green) fell out.. Anyone know where they go and how the "attach". The trim piece has two other bigger clips that are hooked into the underside..

Those look like headliner retainer clips. Thrown on to hold it in place 'till any glue dries and/or get the headliner trim into place.

Thanks for responding... That makes sense and could be their purpose... Not sure if it matters, but I had the "cardboard" headliner... When I put my new headliner in I'll definitely use them in the way you're saying...
