It depends on the application. I've seen as small as 2.xx and as large as 4.xx. I think in trucks and performance cars you get the higher ratios.
A performance rebuild will always use the Hemi 4.2 lever for quicker, stronger band apply.

OK THANKS FOR THE HELP....ITS A NEW REBUILD BUT , NOTHING FANCY...I JUST INSTALLED A REV. MANUAL, SO IM JUST WONDERING WHAT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN...
Hemi is 5.0, 4.2 was from a 273 Commando, I also have seen them down to the low 2's. While you are in there, check to see if it has a part throttle kickdown.
U should really be using a 3.8 or 4.2 lever with a reverse manual vb. You will burn the front band with anything less as in 3.2 or 2.9.
