Hello FABO family. I pulled a bone head move today. I'm finally getting around to replacing my U joints on my '70 Swinger 340 with the 727 automatic. All went well until I tried to press out the U joint in the stock yoke. A 3/4" impact socket worked well on all the other joints, but is apparently just a little too big on the yoke. Yup, I busted the loop on the yoke big time. I don't think it's safe to weld up and reuse behind my healthy 408. I feel really stupid, but I deserve any jeers or sarcasm sent this way, You can't make me feel any dumber than I already do. Any FABO family members have one for sale? Or perhaps steer me in the right direction for another? Many thanks to all ahead of time. Paul.

Whatever came stock in 1970. I'm not sure, but I'll run out after dinner and get more pictures/information. Thanks for your time.

Appears to be 30 spline. I remember at the parts counter the new one that matched my old one was 7260.

Wow, Professor Fate! How timely, accurate, and a place to buy one at a reasonable price! Kudos, Sir!

You didn't break that, that yoke was living on borrowed time. That looks like a stress fracture that was an accident waiting for the first time you put the hammer to it.

I thought about that, too. I can imagine the carnage the first time I stall the converter to 3500, and poke my 408 hard. Thanks for the insight.

I would check DrDiff and get the 1350 size slip and have the yolk on the drive shaft changed.

I will. Thanks for the insight. Paul.
