Anyone know how much my track width will increase if I swap the '73 and newer disc set-up onto my '65? All else being equal (same wheel specs except bolt pattern, same tires, same ride height, etc.)? My car currently has 9" drums and 14" x 4.5" SBP steel wheels.
I've seen this question come up before but I've seen answers from 3/8" per side (no problem) to 2" per side (no way)! I suspect the truth is somewhere in between. I've also looked at pics of cars with this swap but most have much larger than stock tires and wheels and/or lowered ride height; so it's hard to tell from those.
Anyone actually measured it or have pics of a car at about stock height with stock '73 -up 14" x 4.5" BBP steelies?
