can an 8.25 quarter be built up with good axles to handle 500-600 HP?. If so

pretty sure its not worht it , just alot easier and cheaper to go 8 3/4 or dana60 rear or dare i say 9"
my 8.25" rear have lasted a few years behind a 400+hp smallblock on the street with good tires but i am sure it wont take alot more

I currently have an 8.25 and am going to a 9" Ford so I may change ratios easily. 4:10 street and 5:?? for 1/8th mile.
