8 3/4 length?

I am getting my truck 8 3/4 cut down to a stock a body size,but I keep finding info with differn't sizes...52.4,52 5/8, 52 1/2..and so on...don't know what to tell my rear end guy to cut it to!! I ordered stock yukon axles..28"
anybody have any suggestions or have gone through this before?
I appreciate any help I can get on this...want to get it right the first time..

Almost every one I've had was right at 52 5/8". There are some variances here and there. 52 5/8 is the accepted length from most everyone that works on them.

I have had many of these too. I find that they are 52 1/2 to 52 5/8.
