8.75 width vs. 8.25 or smaller.

does anyone know if there is any width difference between a 8.75 verses the smaller rear ends in a a-body.

A-body rear's are all the same width no matter which one it is. Now if the 8-3/4 is out of a different body style it will be a different width.

'73 and up LBP 8 1/4 rears are wider.

I don't think the width between the housing ends is different it's width to the axle flange that is wider to accept the wider brake shoes (2.5 vs 1.75) used on the LBP 7.25s and 8.25s

I've had all three and could tell no difference in my 64 Barracuda as far as width was concerned. SBP 7 1/4, SBP 8 3/4, LBP 8 1/4 and LBP 8 3/4(Moser axles and B Body 10 x 2.50 brakes). If you use factory wheels it seems to take everything into account.
