I have a 904. It is PK 3515852. The other numbers are 3556 and 5946.

Here is the part number list from Chrysler:

Questions:
1. Will I have to do anything special to get it to bolt up to a 340? It is a 1971 340 internally balanced.
2. What does it mean when it says Damper weight provision, and A94-1?
3. Anyone know what the other two sets of numbers are 3556 and 5946?

Thanks!

I can answer 2 of them. This will bolt up to a 340 no sweat if the 340 is internally balanced and you use a neutral balance torque converter for a 904. If you have a cast crank 340 then you'll have some head scratching to do. The damper weight provision refers to the bosses on the end of the tailshaft for mounting that huge chunk of cast iron you will find bolted on the end of some automatics. All it's there for is to absorb vibrations coming from the drive shaft and keeping them out of the transmission. Have no clue what the numbers mean. They are there so you can figure out where and when the transmission was made.
