This is a 985 carrier which is the same as a 742, just an older model (please do an internet search) with the 1 3/4 pinion diameter. I bought this for the sure-grip unit and swapped it for an open carrier as shown. This has 5.50 gear (44 ring teeth, 8 pinion) by Richmond. Gears are in great shape, just way too low for my use. I also have an opened box Yukon Axle bearing and shim kit that will go with this. You can see this at Summit under part # YGA-14007. This all goes, don't need it rolling around my house.
Please note what you see is what you get, less the milk crate. I did not set any of the the pre-loads or torques, so it will need to be set up for your use.
