Looking for a 833 side cover. Previous owner broke a corner completely off during removal for inspection. And managed to break both lever bolts off so if its a complete side cover with all thr components that would be even better. I'm in Wisconsin

Don't throw anything away, Those levers can be rebuilt and they are getting scarce, so you may not get one unless you have those cores. Post a couple pictures of what you have. I may have an extra set.

This case might be to far gone to save with the insane amount of rust on the cover side. But I'm gonna do what I can to try. It was free after all.

I have never seen a case so rusted out. Levers are fused to cover. inspect gears seriously before you go too far.

Its pretty wild how rusty the outside is. Unit turns smooth as the day it was new though, pony one spot has very light surface rust inside Scott brite will clean it right up. You can see the one spot in one of the photos. Odds are I'll never use it since I have a few of them but ya never know always good to have spares

I was thinking the same thing. It looks really nice inside. I'd use that case in anything but a restoration as long as the rust is only cosmetic.

I haven't seen anything that would stop me from using it in a pinch. Getting any bolts, drain plugs or nuts out of anything external is going to be impossible though.

I have a an extra assembly. I assume you do not need the forks and ball and detent assy? I'll take pictures. Can you give back me the old gear selector arms?

I have a hard time believing anything is going to come off that broke cover without cutting them off. I'm not even sure how I'm going to remove the reverse lever without breaking the bolt off.

I do have the forks but I don't think I'm going to get the ball and detent assembly off either. If you wanna try I'll definitely ship the old cover back and a few extra levers I have off other 4 speeds. I always buy new rods and levers.

That works. I know what you need then. I'll take a couple pictures after lunch.
