A body console 4spd shifter handle. New chrome. Good threads. I bought this handle off a fellow member thinking thinking it was a real Hurst handle but it's a repro that somebody stamped Hurst on the flat pad and I'm stuck with it. Handle is in really great shape. Just trying to get some of my money back I would use it but I'm restoring a car and won't a real Hurst handle. Again this is not a real Hurst handle. Asking 275 obo shipped to the us.

Why do you suspect it is not a hurst piece? It looks like the early 68 single line script that has been rechromed....

Agree with Dave. Ive seen 2 different styles of script on factory handles like yours.Mine has the different script. Yours does look like it was made on a Friday though lol

I put it next to a know factory script handle and the scripts are different .The upper one is mine and the lower one is real hurst. It was suppose to be a real Hurst handle and it's not. I took one on that deal. It looked real to me. And he wouldn't take it back or refund me my money.

I see what you are saying with the comparison. Perhaps it is one of the repros that are available that someone filed the flat on and hand stamped?

Rather just sell it and find a real one. If you didn't know it looks real . I being truthful to some who wont's to buy it the handle is in great shape there's fresh chrome on it.

I had an original. Script like the lower one in your pic. I love that shifter. Sadly I cant justify buying as I dont have a car to put it in at the moment......although I did just buy an A body 4 speed. My projects tend to come together like a Johnny Cash song.....one piece at a time. They usually start with something like a set of headers or a transmission and the car comes along later, LOL. Thinking the next one will be a notchback cuda.
