Just finishing up on my version of the pedal assembly which is going back into a 70 340 4 Speed Duster. This piece came out of the car and I trust it is original to the car which is 6-1970 SBD.
I found it interesting that the black paint which I have always seen on the pedals only is also on the lower part of the mount flange. I tried to duplicate this in my final finish just because even though the car itself isn’t going to be concourse. I figure why not if that’s the way it was.
Anyone ever see this on an original assembly? It’s almost as if it were dipped in the black paint at the supplier.

A little tip for ya..

If you are installing new pedal rubbers, put them on now before installing the pedal assembly.

Waaay easier!!

The knees won’t survive that, thanks for the advise! My old ones look ok but do seem a little loose. Wonder if I can get them to shrink any by manipulating in hot/cold water..
Still haven’t committed to reinstalling the dress up kit that was on there either.
