A904 trans fluid inlet/outlet identification

I am installing an additional trans cooler today. I need help identifying the inlet/outlet ports on the trans. I found only one reference to this in a Jeep forum, stating the front transmission line is hot, to the cooler (outlet) and the rear is from the cooler (inlet). Is this correct for an A904 transmission?

Yes, Front is fluid out to cooler, rear is fluid in from cooler.

Thanks. It would still work if reversed, but wanted to run it through the radiator first, then the external cooler before returning to the trans.
