I find a lot of cool stuff at thrift stores. I picked up a brand new intermittent wiper module and installed it in my son's Valiant with a 2 speed wiper.
I was working on the gauge cluster, so I got a bit "custom" with it.
The basic principle on how these work is they send a signal to the wiper motor simulating the "park" signal. The module can then be adjusted for time intervals for sending the signal.
The pigtail from the module has a lot of wires and looks intimidating, but in the end, only 4 wires are used: Power, ground, "in" from motor, "out" to motor.
The following pictures are from my install.

I didn't have the (seat belt?) light under the fuel gauge, so that's where I put it.
Let me know if you have any questions.
