what bread americans rims , vintage american had a 5/8's thick mounting hub for the lugs to go into , shank style 11/16 shink dia x 1/2 to 5/8's long , these require flat ring type washers , up to 1 1/4 in dia with a 11/16 throw hole . does not have to be that big , same size as your socket will do nicely . these shank lugs have a 13/16 or same have a 7/8 hex head , if your racing them , at least one lug goes stud trow the cap , i end up getting long shank type and cutting them to length . there is an area of stud that flares out larger dia then the threads . you must keep the shank clear of that , it can flare your shanks and may the rims come loose of the clamping force . they have a large hub reg bore . will not come close to a mopar hub reg . now the next rim takes a regular style lug nut , tapper clamp force . these are all 60's americans shown . uses to be a guy going under the title '' mr. lugnut '' that could have something , unless theres a good old speed shop around you anymore .
