Well fellas, i came across this 72 dodge dart swinger on craigslist in jacksonville, Fl. I obviously don't need another car but i was searching for mopars (Trained by my dad to do so), and up popped this 72 swinger. I was like ok he wants $3,000, not such a bad price.. so i had to go take a look. Went to take a look and found a stunning car that needs a little TLC. The guy was not the type to get his hands dirty and was looking to make a buck off of a 73 duster with a 318. He bought the swinger just for the 340 that was in it. He said if you put the 340 in the duster, then u can have the dart for $2200 and you can have the (perfect) 318 out of the duster. I said SOLD! Could not pass this one up so now i got a

72 dart swinger--383--vitamin C in the paint shop
73 duster--360
75 scamp--now for sale--roller SOLID
72 dart swinger--318--white

The car will have a 318 with a 727. Did not come factory with vinyl top. original 318 car. Brand new interior, decent paint job. Nice cruiser!

Just what a 21 year old needs!!! Let me know if my fellow mopar guys think this is a good deal.

Sweet, great job. The interior looks mint.
$2200 is a steal. My 2c.

Wow looks great. Looks solid and everythings there for 2200. What are your plans?

Very good deal, glad to see the Swinger has found a good home. An 'extra' car can really come in handy. Congratulations!

Well the plans are the 318 that came out of the duster sounds kind of iffy.. so we are going to tear it apart and put it back together maybe put some j heads on. or if the wind blows a different way we have a 12:1 360 sitting on the stand so it could go either way. I'm going to paint the rallys back argent silver because the dude that had it painted the wheel in the middle black.. why i dont know but its going back silver.. it does have a 8 3/4 with what gear we do not yet know (the guy we bought the car from did not know much about the car).

For the life of me, I can't figure out why anyone would pull the 340 out of a sweet 72 Swinger to repower a 73 Duster. If the guy wanted to make a buck, well, the 72 is much more desirable in my books.

Good deal for you!

Gryzynx... thats exactly what i was thinking but the guy was thinking to himself that the 73 duster which was an original 318 car... would be worth more with the 340.. he was not a mopar guy.. let alone mechanically inclined.. he kept saying he wanted the 747 to go with the 340..

Man what a deal. I wish I could find some smart guys like him around here.

yea i wanted the 340 too but that was the whole reason the fella wanted the car was for the motor.. its ok because we are swinging the 318 after being beefed up a bit into the swinger

he isnt strickly a mopar guy.. he had a monte carlo, a camaro, and a 73 duster for sale. Asking a ton for the cars.. rusty gold to him i reckin
