Another craisgslist dreamer

I can see someone giving full price for it if they want it that bad.

I did the same thing for my 72 demon, it was on CL and everyone was saying it was over priced but I had to have it at any cost, so I gave him full price and didn't negotiate. I don't regret it because I got in line ahead of all the low ballers that way and I can call the car mine now which was the goal. It does happen and there might be someone out there who NEEDS that truck. LOL

And there are people with deep pockets most of "us" don't even think of on a day to day basis.
There are people out there with big money that want toys.

Exactly, and that's a double edged sword. While they may reward some hobbyists well for their investment and hard work, and contribute to keeping it alive & well, the
balance of "really deep pockets" vs the average guy has to stay in the average guy's favor. Otherwise owning any kind of classic will become just a dream. Like I said in
another thread, if 10% of the buyers are willing to pay 18K for a car that goes for say 10K on avg., suddenly it's worth 20K to 90% of the sellers..............................

I don’t think he’s that far off. I’ve been watching what 50’s patina trucks sell for... not advertised for... but actually sell. And he’s not far off. My wife bought a 60’ F-100 a few years ago for $4500 or so. This year we took it to the Ford SuperShow in Nashville. Whatever it’s called. A man offered her $13k and he had the cash. He really wanted this “ patina” truck. It’s not all that nice but it’s solid and original for the most part. Crappy 30 year old paint job and all.

If I am hunting a project on CL, i will make a note of the car and sellers cell, wait a month or so, and then call. It was 99% of the time way overpriced, and by then NO ONE has bought it, and reality might have set in.
