Hey everyone
Here's the details of my engine tick maybe you can help me out

When I start my engine cold of course I get the initial engine tick for a quick second until oil pressure rises.
Once warm, when u rev the engine up it starts ticking on the drivers side. Only starts ticking at around 1300 RPM. Anything less I cant hear a tick.
Sounds to me like your typical bad lifter noise but thought I might ask you guys just to be sure.
Any comments are very appreciated

Heard something like that before.....

check for an exhaust leak around the header/manifold flanges....if the TICK noise isnt pronounced throughout the RPM....you may just have a exhaust leak.

:fingerscrossed:

good luck.

same tick here until one day it never went away. dropped in new lifters, havent heard a peep since

I have heard a stretched timing chain make a ticking noise right off of idle too.....then I have heard a lifter that wont pump up do it....otherwise the culprit starts to get more in depth....(rod/crank/piston)

Mechanics stethoscope at harbor freight for $5 is a good friend to have here....

I just got one today. I'm on holidays at parents and will use it when I get home. Thanks guys.
