I have a 65 Dart that I'm putting an 8 3/4 rear from a 71 Dart in. From what I have read in some of the other posts is that the left spring sets higher due to an extra leaf, and to keep the car level to put a left spring on the right side as well. Will this effect handling. I don't plan to drag race the car, I just want it to sit level with a higher stance for tire clearance. Also I am pondering the 3000lb over the 2800lb springs.

I have the same SS springs on both sides, I didn't mean for that to happen but it doesn't handle bad, launches good, and sits level! (I bought 2 on ebay, one got lost, so I ordered another using the # from the other spring, oops)

The right side (passenger) sits higher with ss springs. When people buy 2 of the same side they get 2 Left side (driver side) ss springs.

Do yourself a favor and forget the SS springs for anything but a race car. You will have to rework the front spring hangar for the larger bolt and you won't be happy with the way the car sits or handles on the street. Just have your original springs rebuilt a your local spring shop, have extra clamps on the front half and delete the rear clamps and you'll be good to go. By the way, install longer rear shocks.

Not if you buy the adjustable front spring hangers, they have the larger hole for the SS springs. I used them too and they work great!
