needing windshield and back glass weatherstrip for my 69 Valiant 4 door car. I know a member mentioned in another thread to go with Steele Rubber. Others mentioned a few other places one of which was Valleyvintageautoparts. I have bought a lot of parts from Al and had no problems. But this is glass. He said that the front weatherstrip was made by Restorations and the rear was made by Precision. I have not used either of these. The question here is do I spend the extra $130.00 and go with Steele or go with valleyvintage. Has anybody installed front and back weatherstrip other than Steele and had good luck. I don't mind spending the extra bucks if it is necessary, but I hate to piss away money if it is not needed. I may install it myself and then I may have the glass shop come out and do it. just don't need any leaks. What has your experiences been on this, please. thanks,Bill

update. after some reviews and thought, I called Steele and ordered the front and rear glass weatherstrip from them. Talking to them on the phone and because I have a restoration shop, they gave me free shipping and a commercial account which saved me a bunch of money. so this was a no brainer. Thanks for the PM's and info guys. bill

Got the one for my duster from Soft seal..have a pro install it for ya'..

A good move Bill. I got mine from Year One - I think they were made by Precision. They work, but don't fit real well in the upper corners.
Regarding the self install. I agree with the others, hire a pro to do it. If it leaks you can call them back. I think my installer was here about 5 times before he gave up and pulled the glass and redid it right. He was concerned about breaking the glass by pulling it back out. I told him I would cover the glass - I just wanted it to not leak. He was able to pull it with no problems.

I am going to need them for my '70 Valiant sedan at some point, so please report back on the fit when you can?
