need a little math help please. if a 7'' wide wheel has a 20mm positive offset, what would the backspace be? need a wheel with about 4.5'' backspace and dont know squat about millimeters. thanks, dave.

Center would be 3.5" +20 is just under an inch plus add a 1/2 inch for rim lip

just under a 5" back spacing

I always better to have more backspacing than not enough in my opinion. You could always use a 1/4 to 1/2 spacer to lessen backspacing as needed providing you have long enough studs.

thanks fellas, i found some rims i like at a good price. i've got a 67 b body rear in it now and it's a little over an inch wider than the original 71/4 on each side. a 7'' with no offset worked good on the 71/4, so my thinking is with 4 .50 backspace, it should work the same. is my thinking right?
