Which Small Block Mopar engine book(s) are your fav's? How to Build Big-Inch Mopar Small Blocks by Jim Szilagi, How to Hot Rod Small-Block Mopar Engines by Larry Shepard, How to Rebuild Small-Block Mopar Engines by Don Taylor & Larry Hofer, or maybe some other? I bet there are members who would like to know which one(s) to pick up before they dive-in to thier small-block!

THose are good ones. My favorite by far is still the Mopar small block "A" engines book. It's the one all the others emulate. But it's good to have a diffrent point of view too,as the Mopar book is also about selling Mopar parts.

How to build Hi Performance Chrysler engines by Frank Adkins is a little more up to date and well written.

I have How to Build Big inch Small Block Mopar It has alot of info that carries over to non-strokers as well.

I have the "How to Rebuild the Small Block Mopar" by William Burt and it is very good, step by step.
Also have the Mopar "Small Block 'A' Engines" book. If you dont have that one, go get it. No one better to tell you about the engine than the guys that designed it. Says it costs $30 on the front cover, I paid $10 at the local dealership's booth during a car show.
Also, get a service manual for the engine if you dont have one already, all your torque values and clearances will come from there.
I've also been reading my dad's Direct Connection Performance Books "Mopar Chassis Modification" and "Mopar Engine Modification" Both very good and are a collection of the Direct connection Performance Bulletins from the late '70s early '80s. Books are dated 1982
