I'm looking at a 440 out of a motor home to put in my '56, It comes with a 727 but I would rather have a 4spd in it. What's the going rate for a compleate 4spd set up. I know it'll take some fab work but I want to keep the stock clutch pedal. I'll just need the trans, bellhousing, shifter (maybe... don't know what one to use), likage, fork. Anything else anyone can think of ?
Since my main concern is my '68 I'm just looking at the possibilities and what can be done for as little money as possible. If I do get the 440 i'd more than likley be looking at trading the 727 and maybe the '73 340 I have to get the rest done.
