[WANTED] Big block 727 slip yoke

Odd request, but needed for troubleshooting. I am looking for the slip yoke for a big block 727 transmission..The slipyoke only..no driveshaft. Trying to isolate a driveline vibration that i BELIEVE is coming from inside the transmission, so i am in need of this slip yoke to slide in the tailshaft to keep the fluid from coming out long enough to run the car on jackstands to run through the gears without the driveshaft and rear end turning. Needed asap.Thanks!

I wasn't aware that a 727 slip yoke was specific to the bellhousing? To the best of my knowledge a slip yoke that fits a 727 that goes onto a big block is the same one that goes onto a small block and actually the same one that goes onto a 4 speed transmission. the good part if my assumptions here are correct you're not looking for too much of a hen's tooth and should be able to find one pretty easily and quickly..

Beware the slip yoke will come out. At least keep the kids in the house and your feet in the car.

Every time I had a vibration it was.

A tight or loose U-joint
A bent drive shaft
A bad bell to crank alighnment.
A bent axle.

Anything else will make noise.

I never saw a vibration from a trans bushing. Usually just a major leak at the seal comes first.


I already had a Volari changed to 4 speed that the bell was cracked. It vibrated so bad it cracked the bell housing.
It was the drive shaft he just had made.
