I did a search...didn't find an answer. Truth: I am 'Search Challenged'. I often DON'T find 'stuff'...and that includes using search engines.

Re: The allen bolts for the shifter adapter plate.

What size are the heads? I have four allen/hex key sets, nothing fits. I tried metric just for fun...found nothing to fit in that phyla either.

A Torx 40 fits near perfectly...all the way to the bottom of the bolt head hole.

But...what are they SUPPOSED to be?

Thanks.

From McMaster-Carr if it helps.........

You sure? Looking at the torx to hex conversion chart I get 9/32". That's closer to 5/16" ain't it? The threads are 3/8 x 16 though.

It it you can’t get an Allen in there, most likely the cap is messed up..

Fasteners are brandy new. Bolt kit came with a 'new' shifter adapter plate. Nary a mark on 'em.

7/32" isn't part of my (obviously) limited set.

Another 'search' failure: I have Passon's book. I looked in the wrong place THERE for the information, too.

Thanks Daves69!
