Just wondering what others have experienced with Brad's. I ordered something from them on Feb. 28. Didn't hear from them for a week. Emailed them on March 7th. they replied (March 8th, a Saturday) they were processing the order: "I'll let you know when it ships". Haven't heard anything. Emailed them this morning (March 20) and no response, yet. Best I can determine they don't have a phone number.

I'm thinking of canceling the order but, according to their website policy, they won't refund me. Just give store credit. $300.00 part.

Just sit tight and wait? Cancel and try to reverse the credit card charges?

I placed a small order last fall. Just trying to upgrade a grungy part I already have with a NOS one. I got the email saying they would send an invoice, and they would ship after receiving payment. That's been SOP for the last couple of times I've purchased from them.

After two or three months, I'd forgotten about it when I ran across another of the same part. I replied to the "we'll send an invoice" email to see if they could still fill the order. I got this timely response:
"It looks like we are out of that item ... took some time to search with no luck.
thanks Amanda"

That was three weeks ago. I just checked, and the website still shows the part available. It looks like they may be having some issues, but they've been good in the past, and answered me quickly last month. It seems like they're trying. I'd wait a couple days, and keep emailing. Good luck!

"And don't call me Amanda!"

If my card was charged.
I would file a dispute for goods not received.
If you are going to advertise a part and run a business you need to do it in a timely manner.
At least do not charge a person before you actually ship the part.

If your card has not been charged seems like they are wasting your time, I would see an alternative source for the part.

You probably have 60 days from the time your card is charged to dispute the charge. If they charged you right away, you still have more than month. I'd be emailing every other day trying to get to the bottom of it. Be polite and be nice, but explain that you're concerned that something is wrong, and you'd like an update before it's too late to dispute the charge. Ask them if they're having problems. Remember, life happens. People get old or sick and need help. I think their record and reputation as a good seller for decades earns them the benefit of the doubt.

Got an email response from Amanda, today. She said they only have used heater cores that leak. She did refund the entire amount.

Where do you live in NC? If you can find an old school radiator shop nearby, take your old heater core to them and get them to make you a new one. I used to own a 70 D200 with AC in the 80's. Heater core busted and none were to be had...even back then! Took it to a local radiator shop, he ordered a piece of core the same size as mine and soldered my ends and tubes on it. Sadly, that shop is closed after Sam, the owner retired. Just a suggestion, so good luck.

What do you need a heater core for? I've had a bunch of luck with RANSHU
If the don't list what you're looking for, call them.
US based business. Was turned on to them by 1800Radiator.
Four Seasons is a good place to source a heater core, and don't blow off Rockauto.

I'm in central NC. FABO folks here told me of a radiator shop in Georgia. I called them and they said they could do the overhaul. An NOS one at about the same price sounded like a good option to me. I could not find a local shop that would do the job. I'm not looking forward to pulling the heater core even though it's fairly easy on a truck. Prefer to have the part on hand when I start the job. You know how these kind of jobs go.

So I can have heat in my truck. Sorry, couldn't resist being a smarta**.
Never heard of RANSHU. I'll try them. Mine is oddball. I"ve tried all the usual sources and have an automated Search on ebay. Been looking for a replacement part for about 2 years now. '79 D100 with air cond.

It's hard to find a good, old school radiator shop anymore. Most of them want to sell you the same radiator or heater core you can buy at XYZ parts house or online. I stumbled onto an old school shop out in the sticks, about an hour away from me...that the EPA hasn't found and shut down yet. They re-cored 2 radiators for a 70 Challenger 340 for me and upped the cooling capacity on them with more modern, thicker cores that fit the tanks. They done it cheaper than I could have bought one new numbers correct radiator from Glen Ray. That's not a knock on Glen Ray...they have nice stuff. I was going to go see them to see if they could make me a custom heater core for my 2004 Dakota. Then Helene happened and I haven't had time, plus their area was hit really hard. I need to go see them, so I'll ask if they can fix one for you.

I'd appreciate it if you would ask for me. I'd like to send them some business. I used to live on the other side of Stradley Mountain from you. (your avatar location says Candler, NC).

I'll have to check a cross reference. Thanks! I don't know what mine looks like, yet.
Thats how I came up with that. Cross reference from OEM to AFM. Took AFM # and crossed it several times to come up with this.
I've found that over the years, one off Mopar parts seem to be the same or damn close to other brands. In this case, Ford F100. The specs are there. Of course I understand wanting a part on hand before the repair is made.
