Hi there,

i need some assist from the american side ;-). my duster 340 from 1971 was a slant-6 before and there are 9" brake drums in the front with the 14" rally wheels. the german TÜV will not give me a licence without changing the brake drums to 10" X 1 3/4" and 4" bolt center or serial disk brakes.
So now i have 2 problems in Germany:
1. where i can get a complete kit
2. does anybody have documents which shows that in 1971 the 10" front drums were serial with a 340 engine.

thanks
Frank

Maybe you can also convert your duster to later style disc brakes. They should be available in germany from a donor F,M or J body.
Check out www.mopar-forum.de
They could also tell you what to do to get TUV for it.

Not sure what serial is to mean-- but it is common for v-8 cars to have the larger 10" brakes & the slant 6 cars to have the 9" brakes.

Typical Factory set-up for v-8 a bodies were front 10" drums or the small bolt pattern disc & 10" drum in the rear.
a 10" drum brake a body has approx 10 x 2.25 fronts & 10 x 1.75 rear units.
Sounds like your Government wants at least factory standards on the car.

Can you upgrade to a later style disc set-up? Lawrence
