Brake lights stopped working in 1965 sportsman

I replaced the switch and ground wire and nothing changed.
Then I ran an independent wire and that still didn't work, what should be my next movefor this issue?

Obvious question...did you check the bulbs?

Otherwise, check the grounds.

Brake lights also run through the turn signal switch....could be there.
