Ok, so again I am still in the process of getting all the main components together for my restoration project. One of the last pieces I need is a solid transmission. I will be running a slightly built 318 and 8 3/4 rear on a 1966 Barracuda. I have recently been offered a 727 pushbutton transmission out of a 64 Polara, but no idea what it is worth and if it can be used with a floor console shifter?

Any input would be appreciated!

Thanks,
John

YES-- it can be done.
Look over the push button posts-- the 65 cars(1 year only tranny style)-- had a push button style tranny(cable shifted) -- but some of them had floor shifters.
so you can use a push button shifter -- with a 65 floor shift-- there is more to this ---
Imperial services can hook you up with new parts to do this -- they are good-- but their stuff is not cheap.

on the thrifty side-- I think you can swap a 65 valve body with an earlier pb tranny. then find a 65 style floor shift & you can go---- or call the above mentioned vendor & they can fit your needs.

Or-- if this tranny has cables & all push button controls--- make a console & have a floor shifted push button.
