So I had asked what the numbers said it went to/came from... Amongst several wonderful members giving me the skinny, here it is: (thanks to Mr. 69 Cuda 440, saved me some typing)
Carter 4131 AFB {with L5 Tag}
1966
Dodge..........383/325 HP
Plymouth......383/325 HP
Dodge.........440/350 HP
Chrysler......440/365 HP
Throttle Plates...... 1 7/16" Primary x 1 9/16" Secondary
Venturi Sizes........ 1.186" x 1.313"
Jet Sizes.............. 0.92" Primary x .089" Secondary
Advertised CFM Rating = 575
Brought it home from a friend's attic, thru a rebuild kit and new (modern) electric choke at it..(then the choke plate screws broke off so the choke plate is not attached, but is included)... Bolted it on Jake's 65 and although it will run, it does not run well...wants to keep flooding and spewing fuel out of a tiny little hole in the rear near the top... Can't figure it out to save my life. I have never been a carb tuner and for the life of me they always kick my butt.... So we bought a new Edelbrock and am offering this old AFB for sale.
$80 shipped in the lower 48 and because it always seems to cost more to head north - $90 to Canada. Local pick-up near Baltimore, Md is always an option.
