I have a 66 Commando 273 and the factory carb is an AFB 4119S. I am rebuilding and the jets are 120-175 (0.073 modern size equivalent) and 120-259 (or 252 ?). Neither 120-259 nor 120-252 appear in the charts on Mike's Carbs site on in a 'net serach. I also can't find them in the 66 Svc manual. What manual should I be looking for for the AFB that would tell me the factory jet sizes. The metering rods are three step 16-403 (0.69 x 0.65 x 0.58)

If anyone has a better guess on what that second pic stamping says, please let me know.

You have the correct part numbers and dimensions for the secondary jets and the step - up rods.
Primary jet for the 4119s number is 120 - 252 and the size is .089
That is a valuable carburetor.
Used 4119's are selling for as much as $800.00

I don't know man. That's a mighty funny lookin "2". Looks like a 9 to me. But take it with a grain of sand, cause I don't know jack about those numbers.

Oh, i have stared at that a while.... if you think THAT is hard to read, you should see the 16-403 metering rods....‍️

#4119 carb.
#403 rods Three step: 069/058/065. 065 could be a printing error, might be 055.

16-403 as measured in my 4119 was .069/.065/.058

What reference do you get these from?

What reference are you using for the jet size? Printed or electronic? Can i get a copy?

Original Carter catalog. If you can work out Carter's numbering system, you could probably win Power Ball...

This is the best I can do, even though the numbers don't match with the carter jet sizes... at least teh decimals are marked...
