Case price range?

Hey guys, I'm planning out an overdrive A-833 4-speed build with the Passon kit and I want to look into a good case or "foundation" transmission. I would prefer a cast iron case for rigidity because I'm going to be doing some powershifting and I don't want to have to worry about warping/stretching anything in the case. I don't know if the Passon kit goes into non-OD A-833's or what, but it is based off the 18-spline input shaft version. Do the 18 and 23-spline cases have any differences, or is the difference only in the input shafts and gearsets? Also, about how much would a case or rebuildable 4-speed cost? Look around, you should be able to find an overdrive aluminum case, complete for $100-150.

I know where one might be in a bit for around that price.
