Tomorrow is a big night for Challenger fans!

The Speed Channel will be covering live the auction of the FIRST production 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8®.

The auction is taking place at the 37th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. Proceeds will benefit notMykid, an organization dedicated to facilitating improved understanding about youth behavioral health issues including suicide, drug abuse eating disorders and depression.

Bidders will have the chance to own the car before it is shown to the public. The 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8 will make its worldwide debut on Feb. 6 at the Chicago Auto Show. The Challenger concept vehicle will be on display at the auction.

Interested bidders are required to register with Barrett-Jackson prior to bidding. Registration and further information can be found at www.barrett-jackson.com.

"The Dodge Challenger has always been an iconic vehicle and consumers are showing overwhelming enthusiasm for the modern version—the all-new 2008 Dodge Challenger SRT8," said Mike Accavitti, Director—Dodge Brand and SRT Global Marketing, Chrysler LLC. "Dodge dealers took more than 4,300 orders the first day it went on sale. Clearly consumers are clamoring for the kind of modern amenities and iconic muscle car heritage the Challenger SRT8 offers."

The Speed Channel will be covering the Barrett-Jackson auction beginning at 2 p.m. ET Saturday. Barrett-Jackson is projecting that Challenger will be auctioned some time around 9 p.m. ET, but recommends that viewers tune in an hour earlier to be certain not to miss it.
