Cheetah SCS shifter question

Not sure if this is right spot for it or not but I’ll ask. I have a cheetah SCS shifter. (With the cover) Do I run the wire for the line log off the side of the shifter through the shifter or just leave the wire loose beside the shifter ? I’m looking for a clean install hopefully can anybody share a picture how they’ve done it?

I ran mine beside it. I didn’t want it to get caught and maybe break a wire

Ditto Roy. Mine is also run outside so I don't have an issue at an "inconvenient" time!!

ok. Thanks guys. I have to say for a well built shifter is is kind of Mickey Mouse Design.

I wired the shifter button to my trans brake, my line lock is in the left side of the steering wheel.

I would agree - for such a nice, well-functioning design, I would have thought the switch wiring would have been integrated better.
