Chrysler Rebuilt Power Steering Box Level 3 by Firm Feel
For sale is a rebuilt Chrysler power steering box. This box is from a 1971 Plymouth Duster. It is the small sector 1 1/8 output shaft used in A Body vehicles. This steering box was used for one summer on an occasionally driven street strip car and has little wear. I am switching to manual steering and this is the only reason for the sale.
This box was disassembled and rebuilt by Firm Feel in Washington State. They modified the box to their level 3 firmness. Here is the description from the Firm Feel site. All FFI Power Steering boxes are thoroughly cleaned and inspected: the cases are machined for roller bearing sector supports, and the worm gear assemblies are resized. The box is then fitted with Firm Feel's exclusive reaction springs, ranging in three steps from slightly firmer than the OE police box to two steps firmer yet, depending on your needs. All boxes are bench tested and shipped ready to install.
