I 4 speed swapped my 68 Dart last year and I’d like to convert my column to the floor shift style. classic industries offers one that’s for A and B bodies 68-69 and it’s currently “arriving soon”. Who knows when that’ll happen. The list of compatible models lists 68-69 B bodies like Charger and Roadrunner.. also 68-69 Valiant. 68-69 Dart wasn’t in the list.
Is it just a lack of description or is there a difference? Also, would a used original 68-69 B body column collar work on my Dart? Vans Auto also lists one but just says 68-69 A and B body. It also shows it’s out of stock. I dropped them an email for the lead time on it. I found a used 68-69 collar from a B body and thought I’d give it a try since the repop ones cover both body platforms.. I guess I could just pull my column and body work it to look like one just the same.
I did get the old arm out today.. small victory plus I don’t have to photoshop it out of photos anymore
