I'v got a question for all you computer guru's out there, that are way more computer literate than this old man is, in his old age.
I constantly get junk, spam, unwanted, e mails, from this e mail address, deals@dailydeals1 all the time in my mail.
Constantly sending to me all the time, for everything that i have no interest in.
Irritating, and annoying. I never open any of them, but is there any way in eliminating getting them in the first place.
Pissing me off, thinking that I'm getting a legitimate e mail, and then find out it's one of these spam e mails.
Anything i can do about it.
Thank's a lot.
Jim V.

You should be able to mark it as spam and it will go to your spam folder instead of your inbox. Unless there is something im not understanding.

How do you stop an e mail, wherever it originates from, getting into my regular e mail folder?
I would love it, if they just go into the spam file, but they don't.

Usally there is a little drop down where you can delete an email or move it to another folder and such. One of the options is normally to mark it as spam. What email are you using?

I want to be told how to stop getting the e mails in the first place, from the ip address, is what i think it's called.
Is there a way to block them from getting to me from the get go?
That's what i want to find out.
I just delete them, i don't open any of them, or care to move them around, except to the deleted pile.

2 accounts, AOL, and Yahoo

Find out through most any domain registration records who owns the domain and call them up and tell the to knock it the heck off or else.
Spamming is illegal.

How to deal with spam, harassment

He is asking and I too would like to know how to stop them getting there in the first place...It's a pain in the *** to go through your mail box and transfer them to the spam folder before you delete them. Need to know how to make them not show up at all.

There are a few possible things to do:

Your mailprogram should have a easy to click 'Mark as spam' button somewhere.
Marking those emails as spam should learn your mailprogram that these emails are spam and should end up in the spam folder.

Every (unsolicited) 'newsletter' email should have an "unsubscribe link" at the bottom somewhere.
Clicking it should take you off their spamlist, or will take you to a website where you can still unsubscribe yourself.

Now, real lowlife spammers won't do anything with that and might still keep on spamming.
Possible solution is sending a complaint to the abuse mailaddress of their website-provider. But you would need to find out first who that is.

You can also set up emailfiltering.
Something like, every email that originates from sender 'deals@....' should be deleted rightaway.
This won't stop the slimeballs from email you, but at least you'll never see it again.

My experience is if you unsubscribe from something you never subscribed to in the first place all it does is let the spammer know they have a valid email address to sell.
Do it and get ready for even more spam.

I report most spam to my ISP.

It may differ between your ALO and YAHOO accounts.
You'll have to open them and go to the help section type block spam or unwanted email in the search line. It should give you directions.

Hope this helps if not maybe someone else will have a better way.

If you are using a PC mail program, you can right click on any email and you will see a drop down box that has a "Junk mail" option. Click on that and it will give you choices that include blocking the sender or the sender's domain (add sender to blocked sender list). If you select one of those, all e-mails from there will automatically be put in the "junk" folder and won't appear in your inbox any more. Block the sender to block an individual account and block the entire domain so that no other emails from that company can get through.

Well, I'm going to keep my fingers crossed.
I haven't gotten any spam, junk, e mails from deals@dailydeals1, that i have been complaining about since i learned how to block them from posting this thread, on how to do it.
Thank's to all that replied.
I would have received 4, 5, 6,or more from them during the day, every day, without stopping them, from reaching me.
I'm now a happy camper again, when turning on my computer.
