I've got a 65 Barracuda with a 65 273, automatic trans. I want to install a 72 318. 273's tired. Will I run into the Torque converter snout size issue? I think the pre 67s had a small snout, and the later larger?? is that true?

If so, is someone making an adapter ring for newer motors on the earlier TCs?

OR (question 2)....can I use the small snout TC from the cable 904 on a later slipyoke style 904 trans?

thanks

Crank register size changed in '68. You have 2 options. Put the 273 crank in the 318 or get the right converter for the larger register. The only difference in the converters is the snout size.

thanks. I've got a few converters kicking around, so its not a problem.
