Recently a member posted a mr gasket cool can for $50. I thought I can get a new one for a few dollars more. Looked them up, the identical can is between
150-175 . The old quip about hindsight definitely applies here. Also striking while the iron is hot. I have gotten some great deals here as when I wake up in the night I will go here to find great deals. Truth be known I am addicted to FABO.
years ago I had a CHERRY 62 SS impala
A friend of mine had a complete 409/425
With carbs and tranny. I scraped together $500 bucks (which was a lot in1979 considering I was working for $2.65 an hr) and headed over. I stopped by my girl’s and she had just gotten a lb of The famous Panama Red weed After some Cuervo Gold (SteelyDan, Hey Nineteen),and numerous joints I passed out. Woke up in a panic. Dashed over to seal the deal. My buddy and the 409were gone !! He had been at a bar bench racing with a Chevy fanatic and told him about the 409. The guy offered him a grand. I can’t say I blame him and 40 later we are friends.
