Sorry i advance if the is a stupid question.

Is there a difference between a Dana 60 for a late 60's early 70's mopar and the dana 60 used for rock crwalers besides the way it mounts. I was thinking i could use one for my 73 Duster.

yep you can , you have to have the ends redone with what ever you like 8 3/4 ends or ford ends . here are some pics of my dana 60 that came out of a truck .. you will have to have it shorten to fit your duster . but it will go in i have a dana in a 73 duster..

Non mopar car rears will usually lack the pinion snubber provisions.

You can use a truck rear by changine the housing ends. If you are using a different traction approach which doesn't require a snubber, you're good to go.

I use truck rear ends all the time.
