Well I got the hard part out of the way. I bought a 75 F250 Dana 60. I cant seem to find the info on what spline they were. I dont want to take it apart just yet its stored outside right now dont need water in it. Im checking prices on axles not ready to buy just yet. But I want to get a good Idea

You should be able to pull an axle on it if it's a floater style. 8 bolts around the center, then pry the cap out. Then slide it back in and tighten it back up.

Well. Thanks for the tip. But Im afraid this D60 might not work for me. They are 16 spline axles. Anyone ever used this style

16 Spline??? You might want to re-count, as I believe most were 35 spline. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here.

a lot of the older ford trucks were 16 spline, i used one that was. you have to narrow it anyway to use in a car so you have to buy new axles .

If you are shortening the axels anyway, why not have them resplined? Then, you get to replace teh diff with the one you want. It could be 'spensive, but isn't just about everything in our wonderful hobby?
