Famoso 2006, middle of summer. A sweet, combination: 11.0 [hyperutectic's }real compression / Holley unported head, 284XE cam. installed in a Pinto, no less.(3.42 , mini spool, 25" D.R."s ) The setup at Famoso : Nis idea: 87 octane pump gas ( unturned 650 Speed Demon} He over filled the bottle, on the coast , ( cheap. more passes..?..). Well physics happen, his overfilled bottle hit 1300 psi. He wanted to run this crap, unturned / untested , on 87 pump gas, with hyper pistons . We bled the bottle off, to 950. He got a 11.21 @ 116 pass, it survived. No clue , on tuning.

Worked for an idiot at best when I was in high school and a later teen/real early 20s. Had a Super Pro Monza. 355, B&M supercharger, nitrous, narrowed 9", 4.86 I think gears.

Dumbass couldn't be told a THING. His motto was "you tune the car to the nitrous, not the nitrous to the car" LOL

Went to run, got booted back on the trailer because.....as we TOLD him before we left, his battery box was not NHRA approved. "Oh they'll let it through" he said. 90 mile round trip for nuthin.

Next trip like 2 weeks and improved battery box later, it passes tech. Makes the first pass shootin ducks all the way down the strip. We told him "fatten it up" he says "it's in the timing" So we threw up our hands and let him go. Never got it out of the high 12s. My 396 Chevelle at the time would have smoked it. Ended up blowing that motor before he finally listened and let us tune it. BAM instant 11 ohs. The shop folded and he did go on to get in the 10s but took the blower off because it kept blowin Teflon seals.

Still to this day, you cannot tell him a thing. It's like talkin to a wall.
