Everything looks intact with no burns or loose wiring. Its a little dusty and the switch has some minor rust present.

The tach will mount almost anywhere on the hood.

Usual tach wiring is:
Red wire to switched 12 volts
Green wire to Neg side of coil
Black to earth

Any other colour will be the lamp wire.
