I know it is not an A body, but I figured someone might benefit.

Home made, do it yourself grill block.

I started out with foam board from Walmart. There is a better material, available from sign shops, but I was a bit under the gun with the weather coming in.

I cut the strips to size to match the grill opening

I used a small drill bit to punch a hole through the foam from top to bottom

I used some small braided wire through the punched hole.

I twisted the wires in the back, and ended up with a reasonable grill block, that is bette then a piece of cardboard, and should help keep some heat for the inside of the van.

Cool idea... or is that hot idea? lol

My '05 Grand Caravan only has front heat, no rear heater. But man-o-man does the heater pump out tons of toasty, hot, hot heat. It's like a flame thrower in there. I've never owned a vehicle with such a good heater as my Grand Caravan. Keeps this Canuk nice and cozy.

I agree wildeone. My 00 Caravan really cranks the heat too. I wish the AC worked as good...

This is 96? with 4 cylinder. NO heat for crap. Heater core is OK but motor itself puts out no heat, so passenger compartment gets no heat. This helps a bunch!
