Duster grill mystery

I was internet surfing looking at Dusters and noticed some 71's have the "clean" grill and some have the "sharktooth" grill. All the 72's had the sharktooth grill. I even saw a 70 with the sharktooth grill. Ok Dusters dudes what is correct? Did all 71's have the cool sharktooth? or was it mid year change or what! Curious!:snakeman:

Only 71-72 340's and Twister's got the sharktooth and it wasn't available for the 70's. The smooth grille was a standard grille 70-72 and was used on the 340 cars for 70. However it is the one everybody wants so it was probably added to alot of cars.

Thanks Dusted72 Mystery solved! I think you ae correct that alot of the sharktooth grills find thier way on cars that didnt originally have them.

Alot of people like them I am not gonna put one in my car I like the standard grille better. I guess cause you don't see as many.

check out the original ad that ramenth scanned in yesterday.the copy refers to it as the duster 340 grille,I believe.
