dyeing seat belts

My seat belts are dark blue.any tips on dyeing them black or is there a fabric paint i can use.Buying new belts is out.Any thoughts.thanks Don

I used the Rit dye in liquid form with pretty good results.

thanks 1BadGTS thats what the wife said also how did you do it dtd ya soak them in a pail.

I used RIT too, mixed it double strength in super hot water. I think you can add a little salt to help it absorb better. Remember to move the adjusters half way through the soak so you won`t have a ring in those spots.
