dying seatbelts

Does anyone have any experience with dying seatbelts? Im trying to change a white pair of back retractable seatbelts black. Any ideas would be great, thank you

where can I get that from?

I seem to recall reading that this is not a safe thing to be doing. I'll try and find out where I read it. Something about the dye affecting the strength of the seatbelt.

Check the seatbelts for wear/dry rot. Age may have weakened them and they could fail; cleaning them and getting them wet will weaken them even more.
